Rock School UK was founded in Leeds during 2007. Since the first course in February 2008, thousands of young musicians have participated in our holiday music courses in Leeds. Courses take place during every half term and Easter holidays, and there are 5 consecutive weeks of Rock School UK courses over the summer holidays.
Rock School UK is a 6 day musical experience; running from Monday to Friday, with a finale gig at the weekend at one of the country’s finest music venues; The Wardrobe, Leeds. A fantastic reward for any budding rock star!
All Rock School UK holiday courses are for any instrument and any ability.
Rock School UK also offers a wide range of activities for all year groups in schools, corporate team building events, adult courses and SEN workshops.
Our Experience
During Rock School UK programmes, participants are tutored and mentored by a team of professional musicians and practitioners led by former ‘Nightmares on Wax’ drummer, and Rock School UK Director, Isaac Heywood. Isaac is an accomplished musician having also played with artists as varied as Meat Loaf, Angie Stone, Lee Ryan, Omar, Brinsley Forde and Corrine Bailey Rae. Having played at most of the major world music events including headlining Glastonbury, Isaac draws on his experience to provide truly unique courses.
Isaac & the Rock School UK team have become well-known across the UK for delivering holiday music programmes, corporate team building events, workshops in schools & cruise ships and running various other youth & adult music projects.
All tutors have enhanced DBS certificates.
