Biography: Louisa or LOU (preferred) is a full time professional singer/songwriter and guitarist. Originally hailing from Southampton, Louisa moved to Leeds to complete a Popular Music Degree at LCoM, whilst also gaining awards for excellence in performance and vocal ability. For the last 7 years in Leeds, Louisa has fronted and written for bands up and down the UK and performed at a wide range of events from corporate work to avant-garde, artistic performances. Including; Reading and Leeds Festival, Beacons Festival for VICE Magazine, Liverpool Sound City, Live at Leeds, headlining Long Division Festival, Huw Stephens (Radio 1) band of the week pick, BBC radio play and loads more!

More recently you can hear Louisa in brand new musical outfit ‘Actor’, who have been tipped as ones to watch by BBC 6 Music DJ Tom Robinson (Fresh On The Net) and are described as a sleek and sophisticated cut of alternative indie pop.

Alongside personal musical ventures, Louisa has also been teaching in Leeds for as long as she’s been performing and built up a great reputation for teaching with a smile, and a proven ability to get the best out of students, including private and peripatetic vocal and guitar coaching, music technology tutoring and group music lessons.
