JUNK FUNK & SCRAP RAPS

Junk-Funk-&-Scrap-Raps

During this workshop your pupils will not only discover how to turn everyday rubbish and household objects into an exciting ‘Junk Funk Orchestra’, but they will also learn some unique ‘Scrap Raps’ to accompany their brand new junk rhythms.

Junk-Funk-&-Scrap-Raps-(3)Junk Funk pushes the creative boundaries of your pupils, giving them the opportunity to really express themselves by experimenting with new sounds. They will learn to see the rhythm possibilities in objects such as step ladders, brooms, buckets and baking trays.

By adding in our unique Scrap Raps, your pupils will rap about both the junk and the funk. This makes for a really fun and energetic session that will leave your pupils feeling upbeat and creative.

Our hard hats, highly visible jackets and boiler suits will get your pupils looking the part and ready to FUNK that JUNK and RAP about that SCRAP!

JUNK FUNK & SCRAP RAPS; The 3 R’s

Junk-Funk-&-Scrap-Raps-(2)Our Junk Funk & the 3 R’s workshops focus on the 3 R’s rule of recycling; reduce, reuse or recycle. Whilst discussing the importance of keeping to these 3 rules and which categories some of the most common everyday items would fall into, your pupils will discover that you can actually make music from many of these items…. by transforming the ‘Junk’ into ‘Funk’.

Using some of the most common household recyclable materials such as paper, plastic and aluminium, your pupils will create their very own Junk Funk Orchestra.

Our unique 3 R’s Scrap Raps will help your pupils remember these rules, and give them a good fun way of passing them onto friends in the playground.

Once kitted out in our hard hats, highly visible jackets and boiler suits, your pupils will be looking the part and ready to RECYCLE that JUNK into FUNK!

Your pupils will leave this session not only feeling energised, but with a renewed outlook on recycling every day materials and the roll we can all take in helping the environment.
